Can you face the facts; even if what you believe in is wrong?

Sphinx's Gender

Pa Ruwty “the Sphinx” is one of those pieces of evidence of how great you as Nuwaubians, blacks, are. It has been standing for 12,500 years, withstanding the forces of erosion and the cannon-ball attacks of invaders, all the while only losing her wings. Yes, “her wings,” a woman. Pa Ruwty had the face of an urat “female ruler.”

Many are under the false impression that the face is that of the Pharaoh Khufu, because he was given the credit for its completion along with the completion of the Great Pyramid of Giza.

Etymology of May

May originally Mius, is named after the Goddess of Spring, “Mais.”

Around the first of May, large bonfires were set; often animal and human sacrifices were tossed into the fires to “appease” the sun.

A May King and Queen were chosen to symbolize incarnations of the vegetation spirits. Consequently the “dance of the maypole” evolved. These activities were believed to give fertility to soil and flocks.
