A witch doctor is a European's way of deceiving you into thinking that your village healer (or botanist) who had the cures was some kind of demon, devil worshipper, or bad person. Meanwhile the (true) demon, devil worshipping, bad person can slowly but surely poison you to death (with their medicines).
