Master Wallace Fard Muhammad
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad identified the Master as being the answer to the one that the world had been expecting for the past 2,000 years under the names Messiah, the second coming of Jesus, the Christ, Jehovah, God, and the Son of Man. When the Honorable Elijah Muhammad asked Him to identify Himself He replied that He was the Mahdi.

. . . Messenger Elijah Muhammad deified him (Wallace Douglas [Dodd] Ford [Fard]) and called him ALLAH in person because the Nubian in America was so used to worshipping a pale mortal man (called the Lord Jesus Christ) as the Supreme Creator that he had to give them a replacement for this image in their minds before the total truth could be told to them.
False Mahdi
Wallace Douglas (Dodd) Ford (Fard), who claimed to be a Mahdi, does not fit this claim, his father’s name was Alfonzo and his mother’ name was Mimi. Neither did he fit the prophecies of the coming of the Mahdi.
