Is Ramadan too short?
Ask the Orthodox Sunni Muslims (and any other Ramadan refrainers), why do Muslims only fast one month in commemoration of the revelation of the Koran? When the Koran was revealed over a period of 23 years (Koran 17:106)?
They don’t know. The Koran states:
Al Qur'aan 17:106 (In Arabic) (Originally the 50th chapter revealed in Mecca, 618 AD - verses 26, 32, 33, 57, 73-80 revealed in Medina)
And it’s a Qur'aan which we (Allah and the angelic beings) divided into portions (received over a period of 23 years; divided into 114 chapters and 6,204 verses, 30 parts, 7 stages) in order for you (Muhammad) to read it to the people gradually (deliberately). – translation by As Sayyid Isa Al Haadi Al Mahdi.
